For me one of the real pleasures of watching Law and Order Criminal Intent is watching Julianne Nicholson’s face. It isn’t simple-minded sexual infatuation. I find myself charmed and baffled in wondering how it will change, what expression will form across her features next.

Sadly the enjoyment afforded by her face are of the sort more readily apparent in motion than frozen by a camera.
