Great gallery of Miss Hazel! I had the pleasure of meeting her briefly about eleven years ago at a horror fan convention in Virginia, where I also got to meet Anne Francis and Coleen Gray. Hazel was a very nice lady. I loved her British accent.
I always enjoyed shots that showed her in low-cut dresses–her bosom, combined with her ladylike look, has always been a turn-on. She has a brief nude scene while posing for a sculpture in The Man Who Cheated Death with Anton Diffring (a great villain whose performance in Circus of Horrors puts him in the top tier of horror kings, in my opinion). Anton and Hazel were great together in The Man Who Could Cheat Death. And I liked how thirtysomething Hazel and the seventyish Karloff shared an interesting erotic chemistry in the Corman film The Raven. She clearly inspired her co-stars as well as her fanboys! She also played Robert Lansing’s love interest in some episodes of the great Twelve O’Clock High.
Thanks for giving me an opportunity to share some of the trivia knocking about in me ole noggin…
It is always a pleasure!
